Mission Abernathy
About Us
Mission Abernathy exists to tangibly show the love of Jesus by meeting the physical needs in our community. We do this by engaging the Church in allowing them to be the hands and feet of the gospel through exterior home restoration - keeping folks warm and dry.
How to Get Involved
What type of help can Mission Abernathy provide?
Mission Abernathy aims to help people stay dry & warm by focusing on the exterior of the home. This includes wheel chair ramps, cleaning up trash, cosmetic landscaping, replacing windows and doors, exterior painting, replacing & painting siding, caulking and weather proofing. The work we do is exterior only and does not generally include plumbing, electrical or roofing.
Request Help
If you live in Abernathy, own your home and need assistance in the exterior portions of your home, please complete our Application for Assistance and we will be in touch. Applications are due by the end of May and work will be done in early October.
Volunteer
We need volunteers of all ages for our work weekend, Oct 4-5. If you are interested, please email us and let us know you are ready to join us in taking care of our neighbors.

What if I don't own my home, can I still get help?
We plan to start our work with home owners, however, if you are renting or are a landlord and need assistance, feel free to reach out and we will be in touch to see if we are able to find a way to assist.
